In my last blog post, I shared the title page that I created for my 2020 ‘Year in the Life’ Album. Today, I am going to share weeks 1-4 with you, which covers the month of January.
I am finding it really easy to stay caught up on my weekly pocket pages, as I have scheduled some time to create them on Sunday afternoons. I hope you’ll be inspired and jump in and participate in documenting your life in the year 2020! It takes me about an hour to print out my photos and type up my journaling and then slip them in my pocket pages! So easy!

Cary and I went to a dinner and dance at the Country Club on New Year’s Eve, so I created a layout to document how we rang in the new year. Our friends Mike and Alecia Echols were playing in a band, along with Colby Swearingen. We danced a lot and had a great time! It was a fun way to bring in the New Year!

Above is my Week 1 Layout for my 2020 Year in the Life Album. It documents creating a Vision Board for the new year, cooking our traditional black-eyed peas and hosting a 12 hour Scrapbook Crop!

My Week 2 Layout documented some rainy weather and Cary and I starting back on our Keto diet. Cary also mounted my new tv on my scrapbook room wall that week! Fun!

In my Week 3 Layout, I documented that Cary built me new shelves in the Scrapbook Room Closet, so I had a big mess for a few days! I made a Keto Cheesecake that week as a treat for us and I went and got a pedicure! I was also preparing for a weekend scrapbook retreat that week and created some fun name tags!

My Week 4 Layout has photos from my weekend retreat at the Covered Bridge Inn in Weatherford, Texas. I had a great time scrapbooking with my friends Kara and Susie! I also booked a trip to Maui, Hawaii for Cary’s birthday in August that week. So, I included a photo from the condo where we’ll be staying. We are so excited to go back to Maui! We haven’t been back since we got married in 2016. It will be so fun to go back to the beach where we exchanged our vows.
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the Year in the Life Layouts and that you can see how easy it is to document your daily life in 2020! I use the Design 4 Pocket Pages from Close to My Heart, but we have many different styles to choose from. You just slip your photos and journaling into the pockets and you’re done! We also have ‘Picture My Life Cards’ which you can use for titles and embellishing or if you’re short on photos one week and need to fill some pockets.
Let me know if I can help with anything or answer any questions about pocket scrapbooking! It really is a faster, simpler and easier way to scrapbook if you’re short on time!
