I am really enjoying the NEW Throwback Thursday Weekly Challenge that I am doing in both my Consultant and Customer Facebook Groups for 2020! If you are not in my VIP Group, I’d love for you to join us and participate in the weekly creative challenges!

This Week’s Layout…

This week, I pulled out this layout to add photos and journaling to. I found a page of written notes in the zip top bag with this layout. The notes said that it was a pattern from our Cherish How-To Book on pages 48-49 called ‘Beauty in Repetition’. I created this layout in 2009! Now, that’s what I call a ‘Throwback’! LOL

The colors in this layout are Sweet Leaf, Chocolate, Colonial White and Indian Corn Blue if my memory serves me right. It has chocolate stitched ribbon for borders and little slide on buckle embellishments. There are also Colonial White brads on this layout. It is such a fun layout and it gave me lots of room to add photos. I can’t remember the name of this paper collection though, can you? I’d love to know!

When I started looking through my photos, I found these pictures of me wearing a dress with a green pattern. I thought that the green matched this paper really well. It was an important story that I needed to scrapbook and hadn’t gotten around to yet. It was the day that I purchased a new home all on my own. Here is a close up of the journaling, so that you can read the story that goes along with these photos.

My Story…

It felt really good to document this important milestone in my life. I enjoyed living in this house and I especially enjoyed the swimming pool for several years. I am now happily remarried and have a brand new home that we built together in 2019. But, this was a part of my story and an important part of the journey in trying to find my new normal and new life for myself after divorce.

I hope you are enjoying seeing these ‘Throwback Thursday’ layouts each week and I hope you’ll complete some layouts this year that just need some photos and journaling added. It is a great feeling to be using these layouts that I’ve created in the past and putting them in my current scrapbook albums!
