This week’s layout was part of the Create and Take from my 2013 Close to My Heart Incentive Trip to the Southern Caribbean. I had completed several of the layouts, but hadn’t added photos and journaling, yet. I found the layout just like you see here.
There is a ton of stamping and fussy cutting on this layout. All of the fish, flowers and leaves are all stamped and cut out. This was way before we had Thin Cut Dies and everything had to be cut by hand. It really makes me appreciate my Thin Cuts! The sand dollars are stamped with White Ink on Bamboo Cardstock. I love the way they look!
The title ‘Sun and Sea’ is from the CTMH Cork Alphabet Stickers. They were adhesive backed and they made it so easy to add a title to your page while providing lots of texture.
I printed some photos from our day in St. Croix and added them to my layout along with some typed journaling. I think it turned out really well and it feels great to be getting these old layouts completed and in my scrapbooks!
The photos I used are of my friend and fellow Close to My Heart Director, Sundi Hendrix and I on the beach at St. Croix. We rented jet skis that day and had a great time! It was definitely a day of ‘Sun and Sea’!
I hope you are pulling out some unfinished layouts and getting them completed for Throwback Thursday each week in 2020! Join my Facebook VIP Group where you can post and share your artwork and be inspired by others who are sharing as well!
